This app is designed to help children understand and practice how to use the most common pedestrian crossings such as Zebra, Pelican and Puffin. It is interactive and has a ‘learn’ and ‘try’ mode. Your child will learn how to use the different crosswalks, understand light sequences and hear the pedestrian alarms. They will learn when it’s safe to cross the road and then practice by helping our animated kids to cross the road safely!
Parents will have the opportunity to talk to their children about road safety and the risks involved. The Safe Cross Code has been included for your child to learn and it lists the six most important rules when crossing a road.

Children under the age of 10 are most at risk because their knowledge and key perceptual skills concerning traffic are not yet fully developed. This app is intended as an interactive learning guide only. Parents will need to decide when their child is ready to cross a road safely on their own.
